Cut from a metallic fil-coupé (that’s industry speak for a special kind of lightweight jacquard), this beautifully textured midi skirt is replete with ruffles and ruching. It’s fitted through the thigh and flutters out at the knee for freedom of movement. And the pattern? It’s a pretty, organic arrangement of blue and green botanicals.

Before launching her eponymous label in 2015, Cecilie Bahnsen cut her teeth working for Danish designer Anja Vang Krag, John Galliano, and Erdem. Today, she distills these experiences into her own designs, which feature voluminous silhouettes and romantic ruching. With femininity as her north star, Bahnsen develops bespoke fabrics for every collection, often rendering her whimsical pieces in matelassé or jacquard—the likes of which are meant to be worn in, out, and all around.
