Isamaya Ffrench and FACEGYM Just Created The Ultimate Hot Girl Beauty Tool

The Sculpt 01 brings together Isamaya Ffrench’s favourite massagers in a single stainless steel tool.

Isamaya Ffrench is a make-up artist and creative director. She studied 3D at Chelsea College of Art followed by product design at Central Saint Martins, and in 2010 she joined the Theo Adams Company, a London-based collective of artists, dancers, musicians, actors and singers. While at university Ffrench worked as a face and body painter for children's parties and began to see the process of painting on faces more stimulating than the subject she was studying.

The longtime make-up mogul behind her viral phallic lipsticks has just teamed up with FACEGYM to create a face sculpting tool dubbed Sculpt 01. Looking to change your beauty and wellness routine, the multi-purpose tool

‘I wanted to create a tool that would allow you to have the best parts of all of those tools at once,’ she says. ‘Facial massage is an important part of your skincare routine and it also helps with circulation, the lymphatic system and preparing your skin for makeup’.

Guasha, an East Asian tool used for face-sculpting, has become the beauty and wellness tool du jour in recent years. Usually created from jade, the massager is thought to help shape the face and promote healthy circulation. With FACEGYM, Ffrench has combined the guasha with a comb, ball tip and scalp claw; all to stimulate different parts of the body.

A certified expert on face sculpting is the brand founder Igne Theron who has been experimenting with beauty tools for her column in How To Spend It. ‘I could not find enough angles of the simple guasha so I decided to create the Multi Sculpt with 6 sides and over a hundred moves. It drains, lifts, sculpts and releases tension in the jaw and neck as well as releasing blockages through meridian pressure points,’ Theron tells us.

Along with the curved edge, the additional tools specialise in stimulating the lymphatic system. The comb works best on the neck, while the ball tip pinpoints around the brow to promote a natural-looking lift. The scalp claw relieves tension and is said to improve scalp and hair health.

‘I find it incredibly useful for lower face flaccidity, I am getting a little saggy around the mouth area so I like using the “grip” on the Multi Sculpt to lift the jowels,’ Theron explains. ‘I also use the small edge for puffiness around the eye and the long edge for overall face draining. But my most famous trick is the brow lift! I can get an inch lift from using the guasha which opens my eyes and gives me great surface area for eye shadow.’

As a certified hot girl — that is, the arbitrary moniker for today’s it-girls defined by their unwavering confidence — Ffrench is hot off the heels of appearing in Charli XCX’s music video ‘360’. Making a cameo alongside today’s hot girl cohort including, Gabriette, Rachel Sennot, and Chloë Sevigny, Ffrench is an expert on hot girl beauty and wellness.

‘Experiment with it’, she tells us. ‘Try all the sides of the tool on all areas of your face and play around with speed and pressure, because we all have very different features and tension points, so you have to figure out what yours are.’
